JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The District 29 Republican Party has announced its endorsed candidates for the upcoming election: Senator Terry Wanzek for Senate and Representatives Craig Headland and Kevin Wolsky for House.

Senator Terry Wanzek has represented District 29 in the North Dakota Senate since 2007. During the last legislative session, he served as Chair of Government Operations Appropriations. Wanzek is a lifelong farmer and continues to work with his family on their farming operation outside of Jamestown. He is married to his wife, Janice, and they have three adult children and eight grandchildren. Wanzek has been involved in community organizations and boards, including Farm Bureau, North Dakota Grain Growers, and St. James Catholic Church.

Representative Craig Headland has served the people of District 29 in the North Dakota House since 2003. A lifelong resident of Stutsman County, Headland brings real-world knowledge and experience to his work in Bismarck. During the last legislative session, he chaired the Finance and Taxation Committee, where he worked on tax relief for North Dakota residents. Headland farms and is married to his wife, Dawn, and together they have one child. He is seeking support again in the upcoming election.

Kevin Wolsky is a farmer, small business owner, and proud father of nine. Born and raised in Carrington, Wolsky served on the Carrington School Board for 12 years. His priorities include property tax relief and economic development for rural communities. Wolsky has been married to his wife, Jen, for 24 years. He was a recipient of the National Young Farmer Award in 2016 and is involved with Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
