BISMARCK, N.D. (PPR) – North Dakota’s lone U.S. House member has filed petitions to be on the June 9th primary ballot.
Republican Julie Fedorchak was elected in 2024. She was denied the party’s endorsement at the state GOP convention then, and won the primary and the general election. She didn’t seek the party’s convention endorsement this year, deciding to go right to the primary.
Fedorchak told reporters she already has the endorsement of President Trump and several Republican leaders across the state.
Fedorchak says she will run on her record of supporting the state’s energy industry, as well as supporting tax cuts. Her GOP primary opponent will be Alex Balasz. She defeated him two years ago in the GOP primary election.
