
FARGO – There were several first-place finishes for Jamestown Blue Jays Boys Track & Field in a second-place finish for the team Tuesday at the Mailloux Unlimited Invitational at Fargo North High School’s Spartan Stadium. The Blue Jay girls finished fifth.
The Jamestown boys tallied 186 points, 28 behind winner Fargo North. Aiden Skari won the 400 meters in 51.92 and the triple jump with 42 feet, one inch. Heath Heupel ran in 2:04.08 to win the 800 meters. Tristan Champagne took the 1600 meters in 5:03.08. For the second straight event, Jared Sagaser won both hurdles races, taking the 110 meters in 15.93 and the 300 meters in 41.97. Cody Berreth was first in the shot put, throwing 53 feet, six inches. Peacemaker Tukumunde cleared six feet to win the high jump.
86 points were scored for the JHS girls team. Claire Marker won in the 800 meters, running in 2:28.64. Hayden Olson captured the triple jump, achieving 34 feet, five and a half inches.
