JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – A family farm southeast of Jamestown is being shaped into a place where people can buy plants, pick produce, take classes, and enjoy a quiet walk through the garden. Peaceful Acres Greenhouse & Gardens LLC celebrated its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 3728 79th Ave. SE.
Owned and operated by Alice, Rachel and Erik Laber, Peaceful Acres began on a former dairy farm that has long been a place of peace and renewal for their family. The grand opening focused on the greenhouse, with the garden center and remodel still to come. The business plans to offer flowers, vegetables, potting supplies, landscape fabric, garden tools, craft classes, and seasonal produce.
This gives Jamestown-area residents another local place to find plants, food, and hands-on garden experiences. Peaceful Acres plans to add more flowers and vegetables soon, along with perennial plants, native plants, trees, pumpkins, squash, gourds, ornamental corn, extra vegetables, and eventually fruit. Future plans also include more agri-tourism opportunities on the farm.
Community members are encouraged to visit Peaceful Acres Greenhouse & Gardens LLC, sign up for updates, and support the business as it grows.
