
CASS COUNTY, N.D. – Cass County will conduct the June 9, 2026, Primary Election as a vote center election, with several vote center locations available throughout the county. Voters may also cast a ballot by absentee.
Absentee ballots are only sent to qualified electors who have completed an application verified by the Cass County Finance Office. Residents who are unsure whether they have requested an absentee ballot may call 701-241-5600 to verify.
There are several ways to submit a ballot for the Primary Election:
- Return an absentee ballot to the Cass County Finance Office via the U.S. Postal Service. Ballots must be received by the Finance Office by the close of polls on Election Day.
- Return an absentee ballot via a secure drop box by 7 p.m. June 9, 2026. A drop box is located outside the Cass County Courthouse, 211 9th St. S., Fargo.
- Vote in person during the early voting period, which begins June 2, 2026. A schedule and locations are available at casscountynd.gov/elections.
- Vote in person on Election Day, June 9, 2026, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Polling locations are available at casscountynd.gov/elections.
Whether voting absentee or in person, voters must present a North Dakota driver’s license, a nondriver identification card, an ID issued by a tribal government or a long-term care identification certificate.
Please ensure addresses have been updated with the North Dakota Department of Transportation. More information on how to verify voter information and addresses is available at vote.nd.gov. If a voter is unable to update their current address before Election Day, they must bring a document such as a lease, utility bill or bank statement showing their current residential address.
