N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The 2nd Annual Jakestar Festival was held in LaMoure, North Dakota on August 16th and 17th.

Jakestar Festival is a celebration to raise funds that enrich the lives of children through quality entertainment and creative community involvement. Jakestar, LLC was founded after a tragic accident took the life of a young child. Out of tragedy came a desire to celebrate life with friends and families who have also been impacted by the loss of a child.

This year, the Jakestar Festival raised nearly $10,000 from all donations, including donations given outside of the festival. All the money raised was donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of North Dakota and the Wounded Warrior Project.
