CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A Grand Forks man was arrested after he was accused of vandalizing a restroom inside Jimmy’s Pizza on east main in Valley City Tuesday night around 6pm.

Police Chief Fred Thompson says officers arrested 32-year-old Jon Henry Lightning a short time later at the VFW Club for carrying a concealed weapon and criminal mischief.

Thompson says officers removed two swords and a dagger that Lightning allegedly hid under his clothing.

Thompson says at least one of the swords was used to poke a hole in the sheetrock and to slice other parts of the wall. He says the incident remains under investigation.
