N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Shaw Development has backed out of purchasing land in the Jamestown Industrial Park.

In September 2013, The JSDC Board of Directors approved a lot sale to Shaw Developments to build an 83 unit Microtel Inn. According to DeAnn Brunner with the JSDC, there are certain criteria that a business or developer needs to meet in order to build on JSDC approved land.

“That is one of the problems that Shaw Development felt they couldn’t overcome.” DeAnn added. Shaw wanted a purchase option and not a purchase agreement. Because of that, Shaw Development will be looking for other lots to build a Microtel Inn in Jamestown.
