CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Valley City teacher’s Kathy Lentz, Kristi Shanenko and Mel Klingenberg were recognized for their excellent teaching work in the classroom during a school board meeting on January 20.

Kathy Lentz received a Presidential Teachers Award for her work as a teacher and is also a National Board Certified Teacher.

Kristi Shanenko was recognized as a National Board Certified Teacher and was  congratulated by the school board too.

And Mel Klingenberg received the Teacher Excellence Award for his innovative teaching in the technology education department in the Valley City school district.
