N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Troopers responded to multiple crashes due to extreme weather on January 26th.

Sgt. Shannon Henke stated that roughly 8 vehicles on I-94 in the east bound lane about 15 miles west of Jamestown were helped. High winds causing blowing snow and zero visibility was the determined cause of the crashes. A pickup pulling a flatbed trailer was rear ended by a semi. The semi then crashed into the back of another semi, blocking I-94. Several other crashes occurred at the same location, involving 3 additional semi’s and 3 vehicles.

One subject was transported by the Jamestown Ambulance service to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center with injuries.

Approximately 30 vehicles were blocked by the crashes and later detoured around the crash.
