(NewsDakota.com)- For the second straight week, the University of Jamestown men’s basketball team has had one of its athletes selected as the North Star Athletic Association player of the week. Last week it was Brequan Tucker, this week Mark Hoge was selected for the honor. No surprise if you watched the Jimmies in the month of January as Hoge and Tucker have spearheaded the current 5-game winning streak.
In two NSAA games this past week, Hoge average 23 points per game while pulling down 10 rebounds per contest. He finished 14-26 from the field and made eight three-pointers. The Jimmies ended the week a perfect 2-0 in NSAA play with wins over Mayville St. and Presentation.
Jamestown will hit the road tomorrow (Wednesday) when they go east to battle Valley City St. Tip-off for the men is at 7:30pm, the women will start the action at 5:30pm.
