(NewsDakota.com)- The sophomore duo of Noah Wanzek and Logan Anderson combined for 41 of the 89 points the Jays put on Mandan during Tuesday nights WDA contest. Jamestown beat the Braves for the second time this season with a convincing 89-72, including 50 of those points coming in the second half. 

Wanzek had 17 of his 19 in the second half as the Jays were able to pull away. Jamestown trailed 20-10 early in the game, but Tanner Lunzman sparked the comeback scoring seven quick points and seemingly getting his hands on every Mandan pass.

Jamestown went into the locker room up 39-37 and eventually trailed by six in the second half again, before roaring past the Braves down the stretch.

Anderson’s 22 paced all scorers and the Jays finished with four players in double figures in their highest scoring output of the season. Nick Fuchs and Scott Nelson finished with 12 and 11, respectively.

Jamestown is off until Saturday when the host Bismarck High, who they will see for the first time. The game times are 5:45pm and 7:45pm on Saturday evening at Jerry Meyer Arena. The Jay girls are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Mandan.
