N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department has issued an advisory for motorists that the Fourth Avenue East viaduct is closed until later today.

After Saturday’s heavy rainfall, sediment from the flooding was knocked loose and had caused a motorcyclist to lose control of his bike. He and his female passenger were treated at the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. Crews are scheduled to remove the sediment and debris from the viaduct sometime today.

During the torrential downpour, three to six inches of rain were reported in the streets. The most rain reported in Jamestown during the storm was roughly 5.39 inches.
