N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning Jamestown residents regarding a convicted sex offender living within the city limits.
39 year-old Timothy Richard Olpin has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee. Olpin was charged with 3rd Degree Sexual Assault in 1991. When he was at the age of 16, he molested a 5 year-old boy that he was supervising in a church basement.
He was charged with Gross Sexual Imposition in 2000 when he had sexual intercourse with a 14 year-old girl on six occasions. He met the girl when he was recruiting members for a gang.
Olpin is not wanted at this time. This notice is just meant for the public’s safety and not to increase fear in the community. Any attempt to use this information to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender will result in prosecution.
