Himmerick, age 75, of Valley City, ND, died Thursday, December 25th at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at Grace Free Lutheran Church in Valley City.  Visitation will be held on Friday, January 2nd from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at Grace Free Lutheran Church.  A prayer service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday evening at the church.  Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery near Valley City.

Lois Clare Goodijohn, the daughter of Edward and Ann (Slaby) Goodijohn, was born October 13, 1939 in Breckenridge, MN.  She grew up and attended school in Breckenridge, MN.  On March 15, 1958 she married Alton Himmerick.  The couple moved to Valley City in 1962 where they raised their family.

Lois leaves behind a family whose hearts are filled with great sorrow, but rejoice knowing that she is in her heavenly mansion surrounded by her loving family.  Lois expressed that she was rejoicing to see her mother, father and her four brothers Edward, Richard, Kenneth and James again in heaven with Jesus.

Lois is survived by her husband of 57 years, Alton, Valley City, ND; her children, Brian (Lynette) Himmerick, Jamestown, ND, Bradley (Shiela) Himmerick, Jefferson City, MO,  Tamera Bacon, Rosebud, AR, Teresa (Shawn) Cole, Valley City, ND, Toni (Dean) Haas, Jamestown, ND, Bruce (Michelle) Himmerick, Bremerton, WA and Brent (Jennifer) Himmerick, Elko, MN; 17 Grandchildren; 9 Great-grandchildren; two sisters, Arlene and Patricia; one brother, Duane; numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family members.
