(NewsDakota.com) It’s been a pretty good season on the track for Oakes’ Blake Hollingsworth.
On Thursday in Valley City, Hollingsworth re-qualified for the State Class B meet in the 100, 200, and 400 meter dashes, and bettered his qualifying times in both the 200 and 400. The biggest news to come from the meet was the senior breaking the school record in the 400 with a time of 50.64 seconds; eclipsing the old record of 51.02 seconds by Brett Vie in 1982.
On Saturday in a meet in Lisbon, Hollingworth along with Carter and Ethan Zetocha and Preston Andersen qualified for state in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays.
Oakes competes in their next meet on Tuesday in Wahpeton.
