CITY, ND – (NewsDakota.com) There is now more financial transparency for Valley City residents interested in monitoring citywide expenses.
The city purchased a software program known as Open Gov to keep track of expenses in nearly every department.
Valley City Commissioner Madeline Luke talked with Ingstad Family Media reporter Steve Urness on our Voice of the Valley program about Open Gov services now available online to the public.
The program is available on the city website of www.valleycity.us then click on the OpenGov Finance tab on the homepage.
The cost is $9,000 annually for the first two years. But the city can drop the program with a 30 day notice.
