N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – October has been selected as “Adopt A Shelter Dog” month by ASPCA and the James River Humane Society is helping to celebrate.

During the month of October, adoption fee’s have been reduced to $100 for any dog adopted this month. Board President Matt Opsahl said that they were lowering adoption fees for the month to help celebrate.

Other news with the James River Human Society includes funds being donated by the Crusader’s Motorcycle Club and Jamestown Zombie Crawl. Over $2,000 from both fundraisers will go on to build dog houses for the shelter.
