The Nurse Honor Guard provides dignity and closure to families and acknowledges the sacrifices and compassion nurses give throughout their careers with a tribute ceremony during the visitation, funeral, memorial service, or at the graveside. The volunteer-run Jamestown chapter began in August of 2025 and provides a free tribute to nurses who passed away within a 50-mile radius surrounding Jamestown. Services outside this area will be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on volunteer availability. Sydney Johnson has been organizing the Jamestown Chapter with the assistance of board members, Teree Rittenbach, and Robin Iszler.
