BISMARCK – The end of the regular season went like a lot of the rest of the season went.

Layla Becker scored twice Friday as Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Soccer closed the regular season with the team’s 13th shutout of the campaign, a 3-0 win over Legacy at Sanford Sports Complex.

Becker scored in the fifth minute for Jamestown (11-3-2, 11-3-2 WDA), and that 1-0 lead lasted through halftime.

A minute into the second half, Haley Attleson doubled the lead, set up by Sara Sletto.  Becker’s second goal of the game came in the 60th minute.  Olivia Sorlie made four saves in goal.

The win earned Jamestown the second seed from the west region for the NDHSAA Girls Soccer State Tournament, which is set for May 30-June 1 at Duane Carlson Stadium in Minot.  The Blue Jays’ quarterfinal match will be against the east region’s third seed, Grand Forks Red River, on Thursday at 6:45 PM.
