SIOUX CENTER, IA – Jamestown Baseball swept Dordt for the second straight day Saturday, winning 7-1 and 12-4 at Open Space Park to improve to 4-0 in early GPAC play.

Game 1: Jamestown 7, Dordt 1

An error scored the first two runs for Jamestown (17-4, 3-0 GPAC) in the first inning.  The Jimmies made the lead 5-0 with three runs in the third.  Hayden Brown had an RBI single and Jett Nelson hit an RBI double.  The third run scored on a wild pitch.

Jordan Singleton, with an RBI for his fourth straight game, singled in a run in the seventh, followed by a run-scoring ground ball by Ryan Muizelaar.

Avery Liestman (3-0) allowed a run and four hits with three strikeouts in five and two-thirds innings.

Game 2: Jamestown 12, Dordt 4

The Jimmies (18-4, 4-0 GPAC) earned their fifth straight win by scoring at least 10 runs for the eighth time this season.  Alex Alva had four hits and four RBI.

Jackson Bonneville drove in Jamestown’s first two runs with a a single in the second inning.

After Dordt tied the game with two runs in the third, the Jimmies broke the game open with six runs in the fourth.  Muizelaar had an RBI single, followed by an Isaiah Roebuck RBI single, a two-run single by Alva, an error and a sacrifice fly by Chase Burke.

Alva drove in two more runs with a double in the seventh.  RJ Woods had an RBI pinch-single in the ninth.

Jack Howard (3-1) won with six effective innings, allowing three runs (one earned) and seven hits with five strikeouts.

The Jimmies will play their first spring home games at Jack Brown Stadium Friday, hosting Midland in a doubleheader at 1:00 PM.
