CITY  (NewsDakota.com)–The Hi-Liner wrestling team is in action tonight, still in search of it’s first Eastern Dakota Conference (EDC) dual win.

Valley City travels to Fargo North to face the Spartans, who are 1-1 in league competition after defeating Grand Forks Red River 35-34, winning the dual on tie-breaker criteria.

North has been hot in dual action recently, winning three of their last four duals, including beating a quality Jamestown team 42-25 and reversing a season-opening loss to Fargo Davies with a 39-32 win, both wins coming at the Grand Forks Sertoma tournament.

The Hi-Liners can ill afford to lose further duals if they want to return to the state dual tournament.  Regular season competition is used to qualify the top four teams, and Valley City has losses to West Fargo and Grand Forks Central this year.

Valley City won it’s last dual in regular season competition, a non-conference win over Carrington.  They were 3-2 in the Sertoma tourney this past weekend.
