MN (NewsDakota.com) The University of Jamestown football team fell to an 0-3 start to their season on Saturday after a 39-14 loss to Concordia College in Moorhead Minnesota.

The Cobbers (1-0) were solid right out of the chute with two scores in the opening eight minutes of the first quarter with a 20 yard run by Luke Gotta and a 67 yard pass from Griffin Neal to Brandon Zylstra. Neal and Zylstra hooked up for 23 yard score in the second quarter, and Neal added a running touchdown of his own in the third quarter. 

Jamestown found the board in the second half with a 50 yard interception return for a touchdown by Nick Klawon, and the Jimmies added another score late in the game with a 20 yard pass from Beau Erickson to Jacob Erbes. Erbes ended up with 111 reception yards. 

Concordia had 500 yards of offense, Jamestown accumulated 288 yards. 

The Jimmies head back to Rollie Greeno Field next Saturday to face UW-Stoudt. Coverage on KQDJ 1400 AM/95.9 FM starts at 12:30 with kickoff at 1 p.m.
