City, N.D. – A 15-year old Valley City boy was injured after the vehicle he was driving struck a horse on Country Road 21 south of Valley City Wednesday night.

Authorities say the horse suffered a broken leg and was put down a short time later.

The boy was transported to Mercy Hospital and treated for non life threatening injuries.
