City, N.D. – Employees of Eagle Creek Software moved into their new building in the Regional Technology Park along Winter Show road in Valley City earlier this month.

Project Center Manager David Owen said it’s was nice moving into the new facility being it was a little crowded in the old Regional Technology Center building sharing the training area with EDU Tech. He said everything is laid out well in the new building.

Owen said of the 80 employees, 14 are about to wrap up their training in a week. He said, if all goes well,  Eagle Creek plans to fill another 35 to 50 positions by the end of 2012 that would bring the total number of employees to 130. Owen said, Eagle Creek Software is currently serving about 24 business clients.

Owen said the move on December 2 through December 5 went well. He said the contractor is working to wrap up the finishing touches of the construction project in the building.

Valley City approved of using $800,000 from the city economic development fund for construction of the $2.9 million building while Barnes County commission approved of $245,000 from the county economic development fund for the project.
