(NewsDakota.com) – The Carrington girls basketball team bounced back in style following their first loss of the season.

Three days after the Cardinals lost to Central Cass, Carrington responded Monday night with an impressive 63-38 win over Lakota/Adams-Edmore.

Kayla Hochhalter scored 13 points to lead three Cardinals in double figures. Sierra Rosenau added 11 points and Becca Scherr chipped in 10 during the victory.

Fallyn Freije led Lakota/AE with 15 points in the loss.

Carrington improves to 9-1 this season. The No. 2-ranked Cardinals are in action again Saturday when they travel to play Beach in Bismarck. Carrington and Central Cass flipped spots in this week’s state poll following the Central Cass win on Friday. Carrington dropped to No. 2, while the Squirrels (9-0) moved up to No. 1.
