LAKE, N.D. (AP) – Six Devils Lake teenagers were injured
last night in a crash in Ramsey County. The Highway Patrol says a
14-year-old was driving the pickup truck that rolled into a ditch
alongside a gravel road. One of the injured teens was later
transferred from a Devils Lake hospital to one in Fargo.
     
MOORHEAD, Minn. (AP) – American Crystal Sugar has rejected the
union’s latest proposal for ending a worker lockout that began in
August. Negotiators for the union and American Crystal met
informally with a mediator last week. The union followed up with a
16-page proposal. American Crystal is advertising for “long-term
temporary workers” to complete the sugar beet processing work.
     
GRAND FORKS, N.D. (AP) – University of North Dakota hockey coach
Dave Hakstol has stripped Ben Blood of his status as assistant
captain. The punishment comes after the senior defenseman got into
an altercation with a Minnesota player in the handshake line after
Saturday night’s loss to the Gophers.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – The North Dakota Transportation Department
has finalized a four-year plan of improvements to be funded with
federal dollars. The plan affecting everything from state, county
and urban roads to busing programs can be reviewed on the
department’s website.
