(NewsDakota.com) – Groundbreaking for a new medical clinic next to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center will be Tuesday, April 3, at noon.

Essentia Health will lease and operate the clinic, which is expected to open in January just west of Jamestown. Clinic manager Laura Hovland says the new clinic will allow Essentia Health to offer more services and more appointments with local doctors and visiting specialists.

The clinic will partner with and be connected to the new hospital, which opened last July. KQDJ Radio’s RJ Sampson recently spoke with JRMC Marketing Specialist Samantha Revering about the addition to the new site.

The new clinic will feature 30 exam rooms, three procedure rooms, a laboratory, imaging services, patient education areas and offices, according to a release issued by Essentia Health. Hovland says the current downtown clinic was aging and becoming expensive to remodel.
