CITY (NewsDakota.com) Eagle Creek Software received the “Business of the Year” award for their expansion and commitment to the community during the annual Chamber and Development Corporation banquet Monday night in Valley City.

The community spirit award went to a gracious Howard Langemo.

The Hi Line Award for volunteerism went to a surprised Paige Bjornson.

Executive V.P. of the Chamber Stephanie Mayfield was recognized for her work during her tenure with the chamber by board president Keith Heuser.

Mayfield will step down at the Executive V.P. to spend more time with her family.

Others receiving Chamber awards was Valley City State University for the turf project at Shelly Ellig Field.

Barnes County South Central transit bus barn for the construction of their new building on east Main in Valley City.

The City Lights Supper Club for their remodeling project.

And the Convention & Visitors Bureau efforts to construct the new “Welcome to Valley City” signs entering the city.
