N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center, Central Valley Health and Women’s Way have all partnered to eliminate barriers to allow those who need mammogram screenings to be seen.
According to the JRMC, the annual RM Stoudt Running of the Pink raised funds for those who can’t afford mammograms.
“We want women to find breast cancer early. It can mean the difference between having a lumpectomy and a mastectomy, needing chemotherapy or not, and having radiation or no radiation,” says the release.
No appointment will be required for those to receive the services. Individuals will need to bring their ID. They will then receive a physical exam by a Central Valley Health provider. After the exam, individuals will receive a 3D mammogram from a qualified mammography technician.
For more information, you can call 701-952-4878. The free screenings will be held from 8 AM to 5 PM.
