N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The new drone technology in North Dakota could soon be expanding to Jamestown.

During the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation New Business Attraction Committee meeting, the expansion and leasing of 17 lots near the Jamestown Regional Airport was discussed. The lots would be leased out and plans would be initiated in 5 separate phases for the land located east of the airport.

JSDC Business Development Manager Cory Shevlin stated that he was recently at a drone conference in Las Vegas and had discussions with Grandsky, the company working with drones in Grand Forks.

Katie Andersen was present at the meeting and represented the Jamestown Airport Authority board. She stated that the lots would be available to Industrial and Commercial businesses only. She also pointed out that there would be some restrictions to businesses interested in locating onto the lots.

Andersen also mentioned that the land would only be leased and not owned by the business on their respective lot. The total amount of all 5 phases of the work would be roughly $3.7 million.

The preliminary plans will be discussed by the Jamestown Stutsman Development Corporation Board. You can find the plans for each lot in the link below.
