CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A cyber bullying incident is currently being investigated inside the Valley City School District.

Parent  Arbura Alcox posted a video on Facebook, airing her concerns with an incident involving her child. She says the video showed her son being bullied in a bathroom at the Valley City Junior High School.

The incident happened on September 7th and a video was posted by Aurbura on September 10th where she aired her concerns with the situation and bullying at the school. The video has since gone viral with over 8,000 views and more than 300 shares.

Aurbura pointed out that the video involving her son was deleted, but it was later discovered on Snapchat. She stated that she has met with school personnel and Superintendent Josh Johnson concerning the incident.

Superintendent Josh Johnson stated that he has met with Aubura and is aware of the situation.

He told NewsDakota.com “We take bullying very seriously here. I’ve met with her and it was a great conversation,” Johnson stated. “We’ll use this to take steps to help fight bullying going forward.”

Aubura says she wants to create a group of local parents to help address some of the concerns that she and others have with school policy and hope to continue the fight against bullying.
