(NewsDakota.com) In their regular season road finale, the Oakes High School volleyball team had a two games to none lead, but lost three in a row and suffered a three games to two loss t0 Napoleon-Gackle/Streeter on Thursday night.

Oakes came out firing in the first two sets with scores of 25-13 and 25-18 before NGS rallied to win 25-23 and 25-16 in sets three and four. In the fifth and final set the Imperials won 15-13 to secure the victory.

Head Coach Mark Quenette was pretty blunt with what went wrong from the end of the third set onward for his team.

The visitors had a total of 56 kills with Shelby Roney leading the way with 23.

The Tornadoes fall to 24-6 and their regular season finale is set for Monday when they host Kindred. Coverage on KDDR-AM 1220/95.9 FM and NewsDakota.com starts around 7 p.m.
