N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Spiritwood Energy Park Association met for their quarterly meeting on Thursday, June 15th.

Sr. Project Manager Rich Garman gave an update on the current site status at the Energy Park in Spiritwood.

Garman also reported that the current wetland mitigation plan was underway and discussion was happening with local landowners on farm lease contract modifications.

Later, DSA Plant Manager Derik Marquart provided the latest information from his plant. He says at this time, the plant is running as well as it ever has.

He says rates have been upped a little bit and the plant has handled it nicely. Marquart reports that all the corn they’ve processed to this point has been provided from local farmers and there has been no need to rail in any corn to this point.

JSDC Executive Director Connie Ova also gave the board the latest information on North Dakota Soy Processors and the selling of units to help fund the project. Click here to read more on the meetings planned.
