DAZEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dreis Bridge is used to cross the Baldhill Creek in northern Barnes County just east of Dazey, ND. The structure needed to be repaired and the county was able to do it with existing materials.

Highway roads superintendent Kerry Johnson said the county saved taxpayer money by using re-purposed items from other dismantled bridges.

KLJ engineer Shawn Mayfield said the road was raised two feet for the renovated bridge deck and has a load capacity of 80,000 pounds.

Crews from Swingin construction put the finishing touches on the Dreis bridge thanks in part to the milder weather in November of 2017.
