FARGO, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown girls used a big second half to pull out a 66-48 come-from-behind win over Fargo North and the Blue Jay boys led from beginning to end in a 61-51 win over the Spartans in a double-header sweep in high school basketball Saturday afternoon in Fargo.

Megan Gaffney and Katherine Horgan combined to outscore Fargo North 23-17 in the second half. Gaffney had 10 points and finished with 15 for the game. Horgan had 13 in the second half and 15 for the game. They each had seven rebounds. Courtney Peterson had a double-double with a game high 17 points and 11 rebounds.

Mary Sem led the Spartans with 15 points and 14 rebounds. All her points came in the first half. Madalyn England added 14 points.

Blue Jay head coach Andy Skunberg said they did a great job on Sem in the second half.

 

Jamestown 61 Fargo North 51

Marshall Walters scored a game high 19 points and grabbed seven rebounds leading the Blue boys to their second straight win. John Horgan added 15 points and 10 rebounds. Ryder Lunzman chipped in 10 points.

Sawyer Kenney led North with 15 points. Keaton Hoeg and Blayne Anderson each had 12 points. Anderson had a game high 11 rebounds and Hoeg added nine.

Jays coach Jacoby Lloyd gave credit to the Spartans.
