DULUTH, MN (NewsDakota.com) – The James River Figure Skating Club traveled to Duluth, MN, to compete at the 39th Annual Northland Figure Skating Competition January 31-February 3.
Over 300 skaters from 52 skating clubs competed over the weekend.
Individual results include:
McKenna Becker – 1st in Pre-Preliminary Compulsory Moves, 2nd in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate, 4th in Pre-Preliminary Artistic; Karla Sherfy – 1st in Pre-Juvenile Artistic, 2nd in Pre-Juvenile Compulsory Moves, 5th in Pre-Juvenile Spins; Annika Tweten – 1st in Juvenile Spins, 1st in Juvenile Compulsory Moves, 1st in Juvenile Freeskate, 4th in Juvenile Artistic; Gabby Tweten – 1st in Pre-Juvenile Spins, 3rd in Pre-Juvenile Compulsory Moves, 3rd in Pre-Juvenile Artistic, 10th in Pre-Juvenile Freeskate; Synneva Sortland – 1st in Preliminary Freeskate, 5th in Preliminary Compulsory Moves, 6th in Preliminary Artistic; Avery Graves – 2nd in Pre-Preliminary Compulsory Moves, 4th in Pre-Preliminary Freeskate, 5th in Pre-Preliminary Artistic.
The team, coached by Mark Vasarhelyi, travels to the Moorhead, MN, February 8-10, for the Red River Valley International Classic.
