OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – DRN ReadiTech and Southeast Region Career and Technology Center of Oakes have announced a new high-tech classroom, ReadiTech Innovation Center, has been renovated and is ready for use by students in the upcoming 2019-2020 school year.

The state-of-the-art space will be a space conducive to students’ learning needs in a cutting-edge world of education and technology.

The classroom will host classes like personal finance, entrepreneurship, sports and entertainment marketing, mobile applications, and principles of marketing for students in grades 9-12.

Business and marketing instructor, Trista Gemar, will have students from Oakes High School as well as commuting students from Ellendale and Sargent Central High Schools in the classroom. ReadiTech Innovation Center will also have ITV capabilities to reach students in Fairmount, Hankinson, Lidgerwood, Milnor, North Sargent, Richland 44, Wahpeton, and Wyndmere.

Some of the high-tech additions to the classroom include an 85-inch display monitor as well as touch screen televisions. We are proud to present a space that enhances the capabilities of today’s advancing technologies and encourage students to pursue interests in STEM.

The public is invited to an open house to unveil the ReadiTech Innovation center to the community! To wrap up the first day of school, join us from 2:00p.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Southeast Region Career and Technology Center to see the new high-tech classroom for yourself.
