JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The halls of the Historic 1883 Stutsman County Courthouse will be decked and jolly for an open house this December.

The Christmas Open House is set for December 8th & 15th. Site Supervisor Steve Reidburn says more than 20 trees have been decorated by volunteers and sponsors and can be found all throughout the courthouse.

Reidburn says they were able to increase the amount of trees inside the courthouse for all the viewers to see.

All trees will have a theme and you can pay per ballot to cast a vote for your favorite. All proceeds will go to the courthouse and future programming and planning.

Reidburn also shared some details regarding their new exhibit which should be ready to go by Summer 2020.

Reidburn says schools will be able to utilize the courthouse for future classes and lessons. He says there will also be an exhibit up during the open house with artwork based on women’s suffrage.

The Christmas Open House will be held from 1 PM to 4 PM both days and is open to the public.
