Carrington, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)—–Hannah Hagel (5’10 senior) had a game high 26 points to help lead Carrington to a 50-44 victory over Four Winds-Minnewaukan (FWM). The Lady Indians are ranked number six in the preseason poll suffered there second loss in as many outings in the early season. The Cardinals scored 10 of there 14 fourth quarter points from the free throw line, with Hagel scoring the only 2 field goals of the quarter.

FWM took a 16-14 first quarter lead and Carrington led 25-23 at halftime. The game was tied at 36 going to the final frame as the Cardinals outscored FWM 14-8.

Kenzie Edland added 9 points and Sydnie Grager had 7 points for the Cards. FWM was paced by Myona Dauphinais with 11 points, Mahpiya Jackson 9 points, and Mallory Yankton with 8 points. FWM forced 24 Carrington turnovers but committed 18 as well. Carrington (receiving votes in the preseason poll) improved to 3-0 and will travel to Velva on December 29th.
