WIMBLEDON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornadoes jumped out to a 18-2 lead after one quarter and never looked back on the way to a 62-20 win over Barnes County North in girls basketball Monday night at the Bison Gym.

Oakes scored the first 10 points of the game and held the Bison scoreless until Rylee Kramlich scored with 1:37 remaining in the first quarter. The Tornadoes would score the first 12 points of the second half for a 30-2 lead, and they led 40-9 at the break.

Emma Muggli scored 15 of her game high 19 points in the first half. Abigail Cox scored all 12 of her points in the first half and Sadie Hansen added 10 of her 17 points in the first half.

Ashley McFadgen led the Lady Bison with 6 points, four coming in the fourth quarter. Kendra Greshik added five points for BCN.

Oakes, now 3-0 overall and 2-0 in District 5, are off until January 5th when they take on Edgeley-Kulm-Montpelier at Kulm. Barnes County North falls to 0-3 on the season. The Bison are 0-1 in District 5 games and will host Kidder County Tuesday night.
