JAMESTOWN, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown’s Post 14 Eagles ignited early in game one as they defeated the Bismarck Senators 9-4 and 23-0 (three innings).

The Eagles scored nine runs in the first four innings behind a solid outing on the mound from Ty Monson, who went four innings and allowed just one earned run.

Wild pitching and an RBI single from Jacoby Nold put Jamestown ahead after the first. The Eagles would get another in the second on another RBI single, this time from Gage Orr. Two more runs scored during the third when Isaac Mimong singled and Nold doubled to start the inning. Connor Hoyt delivered a run with his single to put Jamestown ahead 5-1.

Bismarck got one back in the fourth, but the Eagles scored four runs off of three hits and one Senator error in the bottom of the inning. Brooks Roaldson highlighted the frame with two runs on an RBI single, and Jamestown went ahead 9-2.

Jackson Walters went 2-for-4 and scored twice while also pitching two innings and had a strikeout. Nold was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and a double. Jamestown finished with 10 hits, two errors, and seven runners left on base as a team.

An offensive barrage in game two led to another victory for the Eagles, moving their overall record to 4-2 on the year and 4-0 in the West. Walters led the way at the plate by going 4-for-4 with two runs driven in and two doubles, and Roaldson was 3-for-3 in the second game with three RBIs. Carson Orr earned the victory on the hill by tossing three scoreless innings and also driving in two runs. Jamestown recorded 13 total hits in game two.
