JAMESTOWN, N.D. (Chamber) – Members of the Jamestown Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador Committee and the Young Professionals of Jamestown presented the Customer Service Award for October to Michael Carpenter for his outstanding customer service.

The chamber honors individuals who demonstrate a consistent commitment to delivering products or services that satisfy customers by exceeding their requirements or expectations.

His nomination letter said:

“Mike is one of the night managers at Dollar Tree. He always goes out of his way to make sure that the customers are asked if they need help finding things. On one recent trip, I was looking for something specific it was not on their shelves. He said hang on I will go look in the back. He returned with the item I was looking for. At Christmas, I was looking for an ornament that they sold last year he called around to other stores and looked on their online platform. Within a few hours, Mike called me and said sorry I have checked all ND stores and nobody has what you are looking for and I am unable to order that for you. He didn’t have to do this, but he did. He knows what true customer service is.”
