VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Valley City man faces several charges including burglary and theft of property.

Police Chief Phil Hatcher said in the first incident Smith Lumber Company was burglarized, several items were taken from the business.

In the second incident the suspect burglarized buildings at Bjornson Public Golf Course, several items were taken from storage buildings.

Valley City Parks and Recreation Director Tyler Jacobson said the individual attempted to break into a safe but was unsuccessful.

Hatcher said after their investigation, 26-year-old Jeffery Lee Hoganson was arrested. He faces two counts of burglary, one count of theft, possession of stolen property and criminal mischief.
