JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is warning residents of a new high risk registered sex offender that is residing within the city of Jamestown.

47 year-old Michael Ellis Hardaway has been assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota risk level committee. He is a white male standing at 5’09”, weighs 215 pounds, and has blue eyes and brown hair. He is currently residing at 1530 6th Avenue SW #21

Hardaway was charged in Barnes County in 2015 with Sexual Imposition when he offered the 16 year-old victim some “dope”, but she declined. He then took her into his camper and began kissing her while she told him to stop. He touched her inappropriately and took off her pants, forcing her to have sexual intercourse.

Hardaway is not currently wanted at this time and has served the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety only and should not increase fear in the community. Any attempts to harass, intimidate or threaten an offender will be turned over for prosecution.
