VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – End Unfair Property Tax Chairman Rick Becker said the proposed initiated measure to eliminate property taxes in North Dakota has garnered widespread support throughout the state.

Becker was in Valley City on Saturday, May 4th giving a public presentation at the District 24 GOP headquarters. He said if the measure passes, it will position North Dakota as a place for young families and businesses to relocate.

Measure supporters are fully aware of the concerns publicized by opponents, but he said the concerns have already been addressed with statutory language that would be introduced in the next legislative session if the measure is approved by voters in the November 5th election.

Becker talked about how those concerns will be address and the time line for implementation if the measure passes.

The petition is required to have 31,164 signatures to be placed on the general election ballot November 5th. The sponsoring committee has until late June to gather those signatures. The full interview with Becker is below.
