
CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY – A long season for Jamestown Jimmies Men’s Volleyball ended well on Saturday.
The young Jimmies earned their first Great Lakes Valley Conference victory, stopping Thomas More 25-19, 25-22, 25-21 at Connor Convocation Center.
Jamestown (7-24, 1-13 GLVC) won for the first time since March 3 with their second-best hitting percentage of the season, .378. Chase Hawkinson had 12 kills and five total blocks for UJ. Amery Roberts had 11 kills, two aces and seven digs. Cristian Sotelo had 30 set assists.
The Jimmies had 38 kills and only seven attack errors, their lowest total this season. They had 50 points to 35 for Thomas More (4-21, 2-12). Jamestown also led 5-1 in aces and 7-0 in blocks.
