JAMESTOWN – Five different players scored Thursday as Jamestown Blue Jays Girls Soccer shut out St. Mary’s 5-0 at Rotary Field and moved closer to a state tournament berth.

Through Thursday, Jamestown (8-5-1, 8-4-1 WDA) was tied with Minot North for third place in the conference with 25 points, nine points ahead of fifth place Century.

The Blue Jays led 2-0 at halftime after first half goals by Gracelin Challeen in the 10th minute and Hannah Attleson in the 29th minute from an Amelia Newman assist.

Amiah Perman scored in the 45th minute with another assist by Newman.  Quinn Biloff made the Blue Jay lead 4-0 in the 51st minute off Newman’s third assist.  Layla Becker completed the scoring in the 73rd minute.

Belle Sjostrom and Anna Lunde both played in goal for Jamestown, and neither faced a shot on net by St, Mary’s (4-10-0, 4-10-0).

Jamestown will play at Minot on Saturday.
