WEST FARGO – Jamestown Blue Jays Baseball’s 2026 regular season ended Thursday with more of what plagued it at times: subpar pitching and defense.
Sheyenne swept the Blue Jays 8-1 and 13-3 at Sheyenne High School.

Sheyenne (15-12) scored three runs in each of the first two innings to decide the game early.

Kale Verke stole home in the fourth for the only run for the Blue Jays (10-15). Nolan Maulding (1-1) allowed six runs and six hits in two innings with three strikeouts. Brenner Weber struck out four in three innings of relief.
Game 2: Sheyenne 13, Jamestown 3 (6)
Pitching struggles continued for Jamestown (10-16), as Blue Jay pitchers walked 10 Mustangs while allowing eight hits.

Colton Gerlach hit an RBI single for the Blue Jays. Kale Verke and Kyler Perkins also drove in runs.
